Next Batman after Ben Affleck Betting and Odds Preview

batman Following Ben Affleck’s not-so-surprising exit from the DCEU, rumours about the next Batman have been swirling around the Internet 24/7. With Warner Bros taking the DC Comics universe in another direction than originally planned, the whole world is anxious to see who will become the latest Dark Knight.

Batman has always been the centrepiece of the DC Comics universe. After Christopher Nolan’s amazing Dark Knight trilogy and the departure of Christian Bale as the Caped Crusader, Ben Affleck donned the cape in Zack Snyder’s new and exciting take on the DCEU. However, the movies never really hit it off with fans, even though they were highly profitable for Warner. After yet another disappointment in Justice League, Warner decided to make director-led separate movies and ditch the expanded universe behind. At least for the time being.

This meant a lot of space for new movies focused on single DC characters instead of the Justice League. Before his departure, Affleck tried his best to write and direct a long-awaited solo Batman movie. He was very excited about the idea, but after more than a year without a script, Warner Bros decided to hire Planet of the Apes’ Matt Reeves as director.

Nearly a year after much speculation, it was finally revealed that Affleck would not continue as Batman, exiting the role he wanted so much. Opinions may be divided on his performance, but no one can deny that he was perfect for the brooding Batman Frank Miller imagined him to be 30 years ago. He fit perfectly in Snyder’s vision for a darker DCEU, but it was not to be.

The next Batman odds can currently be found at many bookies. Punters are pretty excited about predicting who’ll be the next Caped Crusader in Reeves’ upcoming movie.

William Hill

william hillDoes William Hill even need an introduction? As one of the biggest bookmakers in the world, William Hill offers industry-leading odds on many sports including horse racing. The focus may be on football, but the bookie offers betting in a large number of sports as well as hundreds of exciting markets.

The specials section at William Hill features betting on numerous non-sport events. The list includes the actors who are tipped to replace Ben Affleck as Batman. There are plenty of surprises here. Armie Hammer leads the group of actors with odds of 13/8, with Twilight star Robert Pattinson second with 10/3. Jake Gyllenhaal is third at 5/1, while surprisingly, Michael B. Jordan comes right after him available at 8/1.

Further down the list, Oscar Isaac is 5th with odds of 10/1, while fan-favourite Jon Hamm has odds of 16/1. Tom Hardy, Richard Madden, and Riz Ahmed are at the bottom with odds of 33/1, 33/1, and 50/1 respectively.

At 13/8, Armie Hammer’s odds look solid, and fans have already been photoshopping him as Batman on social media. If you ask us, he’s going to get the role soon.

Coral

Coral’s decision to go online was highly successful, with the site being home for thousands of UK punters. There are many sports you can bet on paired with hundreds of markets, and you’ll get free bets and other prizes if you stay loyal to Coral.

The odds for next Batman can be found in Coral’s offer, but this time, Armie Hammer doesn’t lead the list. Jake Gyllenhaal beat the Man from U.N.C.L.E. star to the top, leading the list with odds of 3/1. Hammer is right behind him with odds of 4/1, before giving way to Game of Thrones star Kit Harrington and Robert Pattinson who share odds of 5/1.

Michael B. Jordan and Oscar Isaac come next at 8/1, while relatively unknown Timothee Chalamet is next with odds of 9/1. Michael Fassbender is closer to the bottom than the top of the list with odds of 20/1, just like Jon Hamm and Riz Ahmed.

Even though Gyllenhaal leads the list, we’d still go with Armie Hammer. He seems great for the younger version of Batman Reeves talked about, and his 4/1 odds are great from a punter’s point of view.

EnergyBet

EnergyBet features odds in the Next Batman Under Ben Affleck market, with more than 20 actors on the list. Armie Hammer is once again at the top with odds of 7/4. Robbert Pattinson is following him closely from behind with odds of 7/2, while Jake Gyllenhaal is in the third spot, available at 4/1.

Jon Hamm is much higher up the list at EnergyBet with odds of 10/1 to replace Ben Affleck as Batman. EnergyBet’s offer includes some peculiar choices such as Leonardo DiCaprio who’s at the bottom with odds of 100/1, just like Wesley Snipes and Keanu Reeves. But, when it comes to Hollywood, you never know.

Betting on Armie Hammer and his 7/4 odds will triple your investment and he’s looking likely to be the next Dark Knight, so our money would be on him.

Just like EnergyBet, LV BET thinks that Armie Hammer is the actor in line to replace Ben Affleck. The Man From U.N.C.L.E. star where he played alongside current Superman Henry Cavill is given odds of 7/4 to succeed Affleck. Twilight start Robert Pattinson is right behind with 7/2, with Jake Gyllenhaal completing the trio of favourites with odds of 5/1.

Surprisingly, Ben Barnes and Michael B. Jordan come next with odds of 8/1, while former Mad Men star Jon Hamm is given odds of 10/1. Chris Pine is somewhere in the middle of the list with odds of 15/1, while Tom Hardy is almost on the bottom with odds of 50/1. John Krasinski is pretty high up the list with odds of 12/1 – he’s not a heavy favourite, but he shouldn’t be disregarded.

Armie Hammer remains the best choice from a punter’s point of view, with rumours already circulating that he’s set to be announced as the next Caped Crusader. Matt Reeves’ The Batman is scheduled for release in 2021.
